Dreamworks picks up THE ESCORT

As of late, it seems like road trip movies are all the craze. From the upcoming movie DUE DATE starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Zack Galifianakis to last year’s surprise hit THE HANGOVER, studios have shown a surprising amount of interest in the once tired idea. Now Dreamworks wants to have their turn at the popular style of film, as they have picked up THE ESCORT.

THE ESCORT is a film that was written by Justin Adler who was once on the staff of “Futurama” and most recently has written for “Better Off Ted.” The film is the story of an airline stewardess who must get a 14-year-old to Boston when his flight is canceled. The film will be produced by Tom Mcnulty.

Nothing else is known about the film at this time, including the type of content of the film. I’m curious as to what the film will be rated, as the trend has been consistently R-rated. We’ll make sure to report when we find out more about the film.
