New TOY STORY 3 poster has lots of character

If you are anxiously awaiting Pixar’s TOY STORY 3, then you probably have been following the announcement of all the new characters through the character countdown poster. Through the way they have introduced us to Ken and Peas-in-a-pod, followed by Buttercup and Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear, and finally Trixie. Now they have given us a new poster that unfortunately shows some of the yet-to-be-announced characters. If you want to wait for the official introduction, then do not click the jump. If you don’t mind, then jump away! Continue reading “New TOY STORY 3 poster has lots of character”

Sam Raimi to bring THE SHADOW to Fox?

THE SHADOW is a property that has been around for a very long time, starting with pulp novels and radio shows. Some of you might also remember a little 1994 film with Alec Baldwin. Well, there has been talk about a revitalization of the franchise at Sony with none other than Sam Raimi at the helm, but now we are hearing that that plan might have changed. Samuel Bayer wants to direct THE BOYS by Garth Ennis

Garth Ennis is a comic writer that has consistently showed his insane level of creativity. He has had very successful runs on such comics as “Hellblazer”, “Judge Dredd”, and “Punisher war journal”. Not to mention that he has been nominated for the Eisner Award (Comparable to the Best Director Oscar) five times, one of which turned into a win. Now it looks like one of his films might be adapted into a film by the director of the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake director Samuel Bayer. Neil Patrick Harris to be the lead male in THE SMURFS

It’s no secret that CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” is one of my favorite shows on television. A large part of that is due to Neil Patrick Harris’ hilarious role as Barney Stinson. This is because Harris is so incredibly talented portraying over-the-top characters. Time after time he has played some of the most memorable characters in anything he has appeared in.

It seems that NPH will now grace us in the upcoming CGI/live action hybrid film, THE SMURFS. Continue reading “Neil Patrick Harris to be the lead male in THE SMURFS”

Dreamworks picks up THE ESCORT

As of late, it seems like road trip movies are all the craze. From the upcoming movie DUE DATE starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Zack Galifianakis to last year’s surprise hit THE HANGOVER, studios have shown a surprising amount of interest in the once tired idea. Now Dreamworks wants to have their turn at the popular style of film, as they have picked up THE ESCORT. Continue reading “Dreamworks picks up THE ESCORT”

FLASH GORDON update from director Breck Eisner

FLASH GORDON is one of those films that has long been rumored and fallen through each time. But this most recent incarnation seems like it actually might happen. The film is set to be directed by Breck Eisner who just recently directed a remake of THE CRAZIES (Rusty’s review can be found here). During some of his recent interviews for THE CRAZIES, he had a little bit to say about FLASH GORDON. Though the film is coming, he claims it won’t be as soon as you would think.

Check out what he had to say after the jump! Continue reading “FLASH GORDON update from director Breck Eisner”

New image from TRON LEGACY

The recent renewed interest in TRON is pretty amazing. What was once a somewhat forgotten gem is now producing one of the most anticipated films of 2010. Not to mention it makes news almost every single day.

Just yesterday we had news that the IMAX version of the film would have five scenes that would fill the entire IMAX screen. Today we get a new image that was part of the trailer shown at the recent TRON event that was held the other day. This picture is certainly going to drive all fans of the original mad with nostalgia. Johnny Depp will be in MY AMERICAN LOVER

With a title like MY AMERICAN LOVER, I had to find a swoon-worthy picture of Johnny Depp for the ladies. Johnny Depp is one of those actors that can be in the most unappealing movies ever made, and it will still be a movie worth seeing. He is just so incredibly talented. It seems that now he will star next to his partner of twelve years, Vanessa Paradis, in a film that is much less commercial than in his recent career.

The film is about French feminist Simone de Beauvoir (Paradis) and her lover Nelson Algren (Depp). When asked about the film, Depp claims that his character “is real macho.” He told a little bit about Simone for anyone who didn’t know much about her. Continue reading “Johnny Depp will be in MY AMERICAN LOVER”

Daniel Radcliffe will star in Nicholas Sparks' LUCKY ONE

Daniel Radcliffe is one of the richest, most well known young actors of the past decade. I think that a common belief by people is that he might be a one-trick pony, unable to continue a career after HARRY POTTER is done. So far, he hasn’t really done much other than HARRY POTTER, aside from his several runs on the play Equus, and his guest appearance on an episode of Ricky Gervais’ “Extras” playing himself. It doesn’t seem like Radcliffe is going to be going anywhere though, as he will appear in Nicholas Sparks’ most recent film adaptation LUCKY ONE. Two TV spots for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

The never-ending barrage of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET teasing continues! First we had the new poster, then we had four new pictures, followed by a brand spankin’ new trailer. Then just today two new TV spots were released featuring some footage that wasn’t seen in the trailers. They both are short but sweet, and I found them to be surprisingly engaging for such short segments.

You can check out both A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET TV spots after the jump! Continue reading “Two TV spots for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET”
