X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel to start filming in January

All of us comic book fans were very anxious when X-MEN: FIRST CLASS was first announced. I mean, the third X-MEN film was quite a disappointment, and had spurned us in quite a way that we couldn’t help but be worried. Things got better every time the production teased us, but when it came to brass tacks, we needed to see the film. Luckily for us, it did not disappoint.

Being that the film ended up a success financially and critically, a sequel is being produced. The sequel in question, is now planning on starting in January. Continue reading “X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel to start filming in January”

Watch THE AVENGERS Black Widow bite in action packed clip

Now this is what I’m talking about.

Marvel’s THE AVENGERS is one month away, and excitement levels are at an all-time high. We’ve had the trailers, we’ve had the posters, we’ve had Loki (Tom Hiddleston) do so many interviews that I’m convinced he has clones of himself. But now, just to sweeten the deal even further, they’ve released a clip from the film that shows off The Black Widow.

You can check it out after the break.

R-rated TED gets a green band trailer

Just a couple days ago, the first trailer was released for Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming directorial debut, TED. As the film is mature in nature, they released the trailer as a red band, to give us a better idea as to what the humor of the film was like. That’s out of the way now, so now they’ve released a green band trailer which gives us a better look at the story.

You can check out the trailer after the break! Continue reading “R-rated TED gets a green band trailer”

THE WOMAN IN BLACK to get a sequel called ANGELS OF DEATH

Many had wondered what Daniel Radcliffe, who basically the whole world knows as Harry Potter, would do after the POTTER films were done. I mean, the series had made him one of the biggest, most well known stars out there, but he had not done much else. That film ended up being the THE WOMAN IN BLACK, a horror film.

The film released and ended up being quite a success. In fact, it ended up being the highest grossing british horror film in two decades. That’s quite an accomplishment. This makes it no surprise that a sequel will now be produced titled THE WOMAN IN BLACK: ANGELS OF DEATH. Continue reading “THE WOMAN IN BLACK to get a sequel called ANGELS OF DEATH”

Set photos reveal Christoph Waltz in Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED

Although Christoph Waltz has been around for a while, it was Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS that really brought him to the mainstream. In fact, the film led to him winning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as the film’s primary antagonist, Hans Landa. This led to great excitement when it was announced that Tarantino and Waltz would be teaming up again for Tarantino’s big follow up, DJANGO UNCHAINED.

The film is currently shooting, but we’ve yet to get a good look at what the film is like. But now, we have a photo revealing Waltz’s character, Dr. King Schultz. Continue reading “Set photos reveal Christoph Waltz in Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED”

Red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane's TED

The build up to a trailer for TED has been a long one for me. Although I don’t fancy myself much of a Family Guy fan, I have always thought that if the shows creator Seth MacFarlane were to do a feature, it could be quite good. Which is why I have been anxiously awaiting TED, his first foray into theatrical film.

Now we have a red band trailer, which gives us a pretty good idea what to expect from the movie. I can tell you, it does not disappoint. You can check it out after the break! Beware, the humor is mature, so hide the kiddos. Continue reading “Red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane's TED”

ARTHUR & LANCELOT not for Colin Farrell

Awesome is a pretty sufficient word to use when trying to explain Colin Farrell. His career has been very solid, and although I can think of bad movies he has been in, it is a lot more difficult to think of a bad performance. Whenever he is announced for a project, it usually garners a lot of attention and builds excitement.

Unfortunately for David Dobkin’s ARTHUR & LANCELOT, this isn’t one of those stories. Continue reading “ARTHUR & LANCELOT not for Colin Farrell”

Kevin Smith wants to take "Clerks 3" to Broadway

CLERKS was a big part of what really got me into film. Yeah, I know. It’s totally a cliche choice to pick for that, but it is still true. I remember watching the movie whenever I was far too young, repeatedly, and as I got older my appreciation only grew more. Then CLERKS 2 came out, and it gave us a better look at what these characters were like ten years later, trying to figure out their thirties.

Although Kevin Smith’s filmmaking career is coming to an end, he claims he isn’t out of stories. Now he says that a Clerks 3 could happen, but on Broadway. Continue reading “Kevin Smith wants to take "Clerks 3" to Broadway”

D.J. Caruso in talks for sci-fi INVERTIGO

There are some directors, despite the way some of their films have gone, that you can’t help but root for. For me, D.J. Caruso is one of those filmmakers. I was so caught off guard by DISTURBIA, the modern day re-imaginging of REAR WINDOW, and was compelled by its charm and great performances. His follow-up films, EAGLE EYE and I AM NUMBER FOUR, didn’t quite pack the same punch.

Now Caruso is in talks for a new sci-fi picture called INVERTIGO. Continue reading “D.J. Caruso in talks for sci-fi INVERTIGO”
