Sometimes you just have to start over, and last week’s big release is proof of that. That would be Robert Rodriguez’s PREDATORS, a new fresh take on the PREDATOR franchise. We figured we’d talk about our dream reboot franchises, and who should work on them. Needless to say, things got pretty nostalgic.

It really isn’t TV, it’s HBO. It’s something so much more than your standard television fare and, along with Showtime and AMC, HBO is changing the way people think of cable shows. HBO’s next big show Boardwalk Empire, which was co-created by Martin Scorsese, finally has a premiere date.
The show will premiere on September 19 at 9 PM, most likely to very high viewership (all their shows always premiere well). HBO has been running the trailer almost non-stop lately, and gives off a vibe that screams “prohibition era version of The Sopranos.” If that formula doesn’t scream ridiculous success, then Scorsese’s involvement certainly does. It’s no secret that the CAPTAIN AMERICA film is easily my most anticipated upcoming Marvel movie, not only from my love of the character but also my love for the costume they have created. Of course, the excitement has now been multiplied due to Chris Evans, the man who will don the costume, talking about his thoughts on it.

Seeing SHERLOCK HOLMES was one of the first things I did at GATW which gives it a really special place in my heart. But that isn’t the only reason this flick is great, from the performances to Guy Ritchie’s superb direction, this film got it right.

Whenever Robert Rodriguez comes to mind, memories of all the great times I’ve had with his past films take precedent. At the same time, he doesn’t get into the director’s chair as often as I’d like (with R-rated films that is).

Vampires have been a staple of cinema since its conception, and have lasted through every generation since. Although there have been many different takes and many different styles, everybody loves vampires. These days, thanks to the TWILIGHT franchise, Tweens might love them more than most. With the release of the latest film in the hit series, ECLIPSE, we decided to have a discussion about some of our favorite vampire flicks. Oh, and any Mel Brooks fans should have no fears, Leslie Nielson’s rendition is mentioned…seriously.

The final two HARRY POTTER films are upon us, and many fans (myself included) are very depressed over this. No longer will we scarf up to see the films in costume, casting fake Expelliarmus charms on any foes I may face (seriously, don’t cut in line). Alison Brie went from being not that well known, to being very well liked in a very short period of time. Although she has had a reoccurring role on AMC’s Mad Men since season one, it was her portrayal of Annie on NBC’s very well received new show Community that made her a name.
