SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 to begin filming in October

Seeing SHERLOCK HOLMES was one of the first things I did at GATW which gives it a really special place in my heart. But that isn’t the only reason this flick is great, from the performances to Guy Ritchie’s superb direction, this film got it right.

Now it is officially sequel time and everyone is getting geared up for the big follow-up. Thanks to Watson himself, Jude Law, we have learned that filming will commence in October.

The film was originally supposed to begin filming in December, but due to Robert Downey Jr. dropping out of COWBOYS & ALIENS, HOLMES has been fast-tracked. Guy Ritchie told his writers to hurry up on the final draft so they can get to principle photography quicker.

This time the villain is going to be Moriarty, so they will really have to step up the game. There were rumors of Daniel Day-Lewis taking up the role, which would be simply sublime. Nothing is official yet, but with the film this close to filming we should hear something pretty soon.
