A possible 'Arrested Development' fifth and sixth season is bailed out by Netflix

The long-gestating ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie made major headway in the past year, when it was announced that Netflix had picked up a ten episode fourth season leading up to a feature. Fans rejoiced, and have been patiently awaiting its return. Production is scheduled to commence this summer.

During a recent panel that included the cast and series creator Mitch Hurwitz, he mentioned that they would be open to doing a fifth and sixth season, which would also be released on Netflix.

Rather than releasing an episode a week or dispersing them over a given amount of time, Netlix plans on releasing all ten episodes simultaneously. This seems like an odd choice and could be overwhelming, but given the sheer pleasure fans get from the series, I doubt it will be a problem. I know I’ll try to watch all ten episodes at once, if time allows.

It looks like we are about to get our beloved series back in full force, and personally, I can’t wait.
