It can be really sad whenever a great actor falls by the wayside, dipping into obscurity. Especially when said actor had as much impact as Haley Joel Osment did when he was just a young kid. Although he hasn’t lived up to his PAY IT FORWARD or THE SIXTH SENSE performances from his childhood, it would be great to see him come back.
And it looks like Osment is getting that chance with an upcoming film, called SEX ED.
Osment is set to play a college graduate who gets stuck teaching Sexual Education instead of his preferred path of Algebra. The biggest downside to this unfortunate turn of events is that he is still a virgin. The film will be directed by Isaac Feder, best known for his commercial work.
I really hope this works out for Osment, as I would love to see his take on a more adult role. He has the talent to pull it off, we’ll just have to see if it happens. Plus, it was a little too hard to find photos of him post-adolescence.
