HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" gets a premiere date

It really isn’t TV, it’s HBO. It’s something so much more than your standard television fare and, along with Showtime and AMC, HBO is changing the way people think of cable shows. HBO’s next big show Boardwalk Empire, which was co-created by Martin Scorsese,  finally has a premiere date.

The show will premiere on September 19 at 9 PM, most likely to very high viewership (all their shows always premiere well). HBO has been running the trailer almost non-stop lately, and gives off a vibe that screams “prohibition era version of The Sopranos.” If that formula doesn’t scream ridiculous success, then Scorsese’s involvement certainly does.

You can bet your flapper hide that my TV will be tuned to HBO for the big premiere, gotta celebrate the Roaring Twenties the right way! Until then, enjoy a trailer for the show to tide you over.
