One of the biggest hurdles the new A-TEAM movie had to clear was casting the right replacement for Mr. T, which they some how did the impossible and cast Rampage Jackson in the role. The film is done now and about to come out, and the real Mr. T has seen it. His opinion on the film wasn’t so positive, but for reasons you very well might not have expected.
His succinct reasoning was that “It was too graphic for me.” But he does elaborate:
“When we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.”
That is honestly an element that I didn’t expect him to be against, but at the same time I see where he’s coming from. I haven’t seen A-TEAM yet, but from the footage I’ve seen the violence seems extremely cartoony and outlandish, which to me makes any excessive violence seem less so. But T certainly has a valid point.
Do you guys see where he is coming from? Does it make you want to see A-TEAM more or less?

less. who am i kidding, i wasn't going to see it anyway.

Man, I'm totally stoked! It looks like a ridiculous but non-stop fun ride. Not to mention the great casting!

With or without Mr.T's endorsement, this flick is going to be one of the bigger hits of the summer…

Probably. I think Bradley Cooper is enough to do the job in that category.

I saw it last night and i reckon that mr T was right about one thing and that is those sort of values just don't exist anymore but i reckon it was a pretty good movie but they should make movies with those sort of values.

Glad you liked it! I think movies with these values still exist, they just aren't nearly as popular as a PG-13 big action film. Even the second FANTASTIC FOUR movie was rated PG.
