Daniel Radcliffe will star in Nicholas Sparks' LUCKY ONE

Daniel Radcliffe is one of the richest, most well known young actors of the past decade. I think that a common belief by people is that he might be a one-trick pony, unable to continue a career after HARRY POTTER is done. So far, he hasn’t really done much other than HARRY POTTER, aside from his several runs on the play Equus, and his guest appearance on an episode of Ricky Gervais’ “Extras” playing himself. It doesn’t seem like Radcliffe is going to be going anywhere though, as he will appear in Nicholas Sparks’ most recent film adaptation LUCKY ONE.

LUCKY ONE is the story of a soldier (Radcliffe) who finds a picture of a woman and believes it gives him good luck, he then goes on a quest to find the woman who gave him such good fortune in the war. Like many Nicholas Sparks’ stories it will probably be very sad and sappy, but guaranteed it would be a good date movie. Along with Radcliffe will be Lily Rabe who is a somewhat unknown, but should get a major career boost from this film.

Even though Sparks’ work is usually not my cup of tea (THE NOTEBOOK was okay), I do want to see this film quite bad. I’m really curious to see Radcliffe outside of a HARRY POTTER film. No word when the film will come out, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

  1. I hope this is not true information. He would never make it onto the list of people I think should be in this film. Such a dissapointment if this is true.

  3. Way too young for the part… I guess it’s bogus info.
I’m the French translator of “The Lucky One” and the hero’s older in the story.
