Two more actors are getting a HALL PASS

We told you last week that Amanda Bynes had joined the cast of HALL PASS, the story of some men who are given tickets by their wives, that can be cashed in for extramarital affairs. The film will be directed by the Farrelly Bros. and is their first film since 2007’s THE HEARTBREAK KID. The cast is really filling out and just added two more actors to their already impressive line-up.

Stephen Merchant ( “The Office,” “Extras”) and J.B. Smoove (“Saturday Night Live”, MR. DEEDS) will be playing the friends of the two main characters Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis). They will go along as Rick and Fred try to cheat on their wives, with permission of course. The film is set to begin filming this Tuesday.

I hate to say it, but I have been pretty consistently unimpressed with the Farrelly bros. since 2003’s STUCK ON YOU. But this one really seems to be shaping up nicely. With a cast this strong, there is a really good chance this film will be pretty funny.
