Jeremy Renner hit the scene really hard after his outstanding performance in last year’s THE HURT LOCKER and his subsequent Best Actor Oscar nomination. At this point, he probably has enough new job opportunities lining up for a good long while. Now it looks like the New York Times knows what his next project very well could be, if he chooses it, that is.
Renner’s potential next role could be in Peter Berg’s upcoming BATTLESHIP film with Universal. There is only one issue however, there is also another project that Renner has had five meetings about that he will not reveal. Both films are supposed to film this summer, which means he would have to pick between the two possible roles.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what the unnamed picture is, and there’s no way to figure it out either. It seems as though some people think the mystery project is CAPTAIN AMERICA, which could be a pretty interesting prospect.

What about The Riddler in Nolan's third Batman? That is big enough for him to not talk about.

It sure is, I hightly doubt that will be filming this summer though. That is a little too soon. Whereas CAPTAIN AMERICA is filming this Summer.
