Many people are very excited about Tim Burton’s remake of ALICE IN WONDERLAND that is set to come out on March 5th, as people really like the style of his remakes. Luckily for the fans out there, it looks like he might be making another remake for Disney.
Tim Burton is rumored to direct MALEFICENT, a remake of SLEEPING BEAUTY, for Disney. For those who don’t know, Maleficent was the villain Disney created for SLEEPING BEAUTY. She later went on to be the main villain in the “Kingdom Hearts” series of video games. Supposedly the film will be the SLEEPING BEAUTY story through her eyes.
I have to admit that I’m very intrigued by this project. If you know me well, you know that I’m not Tim Burton’s biggest fan. I think that this is the perfect project for Burton though, because it isn’t just a remake, it is told in a different way. Hopefully we hear more about this project in the near future.

Alice in Wonderland nor this are re-makes, look it up in the dictionary please because I'm getting sick of people calling all his films re-makes. Just because there's an earlier version of some film, doesn't mean someone else can't make one based on existing source material (books, comics, etc.).The only film of his that's an official re-make is Planet of the Apes. Deal with it.
