Neil Patrick Harris to feel "Glee" with Joss Whedon

“How I Met Your Mother” is one of my favorite shows on TV right now, largely in part to Neil Patrick Harris’ character Barney Stinson. There is just something about NPH, even when he is playing a scumbag he is somehow likable. He has been showing off his musical talent a lot lately, and now it looks like he will bring them to an episode of “wait for it…” – “Glee.”

NPH is in negotiations to appear in an episode that will be directed by Joss Whedon, who previously worked with Harris on the online musical “Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog.” He will play a role that “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy has created specifically for Harris. The episode would air during May sweeps.

There might be one problem, though. The only way he will be able to do it is if CBS (the home of “How I Met Your Mother”) allows him to appear on Fox’s “Glee.” Both shows are produced by 20th Century Fox though, so most likely it will work out. Not to mention that it would be silly of CBS not to allow him to appear on one of the most popular shows currently on the air. It could bring a lot of viewers over to “How I Met Your Mother.”

I really hope this works out, because “Glee” is such a fantastic show. Harris is so incredibly funny and he would fit right into the show. Not to mention Joss Whedon directing, because “Dr. Horrible” is something I’ve watched countless times. Plus, maybe them working on something musical again will inspire a “Dr. Horrible” spin-off movie. Would you guys tune into NPH on” Glee”?

  1. I like the little song-and-dance number he did two episodes ago. The one about suits.A “gleek” I am not, not that there's anything wrong with that, so I will miss NPH's performance.

  2. I absolutely lovelovelove NPH. The fact that he is going to be on one of my favorite shows, Glee, makes him even more enjoyable. I can't wait to see what Whedon has in store for us. 🙂
