Kevin Smith pitching HIT SOMEBODY to studios

Kevin Smith is one of my favorite writers in film today. Even in his most mentally void films, there is still a level of witty and clever humor. He really hit his stride with ZACK & MIRI MAKE A PORNO, which he is following up with COP OUT (which Smith has not written and is only directing). Unfortunately, COP OUT doesn’t look as good as we may have been hoping, but Smith is now trying to get the ball rolling on HIT SOMEBODY and get a studio attached. Kevin Smith's HIT SOMEBODY to film this year?

I don’t know a single person that enjoyed the trailer to COP OUT, everyone agrees that it doesn’t look funny. Many people believe it is because Kevin Smith did not write it, as it is his first feature that he is only directing.
