BIOSHOCK film loses another director

Hollywood has been trying to turn popular video game franchise Bioshock into a movie since the first game was released. The story is deep, engaging, full of vivid imagery, and ripe for a film adaptation. But the film has had a s shaky ride toward becoming a film franchise.

There might be a PAC-MAN movie? Really?

I truly understand the allure of adapting video games into movies. Look at one of this summer’s big impending blockbusters, PRINCE OF PERSIA, which looks like it could be a really fun movie. However, some video games just don’t seem like they’d be as able to adapt as well as others, which is why the idea of an Avi Arad-produced PAC-MAN movie doesn’t sit well. David O. Russell to adapt Uncharted video game?

If you have a Playstation 3 game console, and haven’t played through the Uncharted series you aren’t only missing out on one of the best gaming experiences of last year but possibly of this entire console generation. The series is known for its cinematic nature (something Sony made prevalent in their marketing campaign), and could be the biggest downfall of the project. Now director David O. Final PRINCE OF PERSIA theatrical poster

Disney’s PRINCE OF PERSIA sounds like a bad idea on paper, but with the resources it’s been given by the House of Mouse, it has the opportunity to be pretty fun. Last week we had a new trailer come out, and to further put fire under this leather-clad, saber-wielding, time-bending adventure, Disney has put out the final theatrical poster.

METAL GEAR movie not so SOLID

There has been talk of a METAL GEAR SOLID movie for a very long time, and there was even an announcement in 2006. Fans rejoiced! They pulled out their Playstations, and started tapping away at their fan fiction scripts, and we didn’t hear about it again. Now we’ve gotten word, and it is a sad story for all the fans out there.
