Marvel's Jessica Jones headed to the small screen

Marvel characters like Jessica Jones are exactly the reason for my undying love of anything and everything Marvel. Some of you might be unfamiliar with who Jessica Jones is, as she isn’t one of the most well-known characters from the Marvel universe. She was created by Marvel’s go-to writer Brian Michael Bendis in his 2001 series Alias, and she was later worked into the more mainstream Marvel canon. So much so, that she actually had a high school crush on Peter Parker, and ended up marrying Luke Cage.

GATW Podcast Ep. 13: TV to Film

I love it when a plan comes together! I also love making overtly obvious film references just because they are relevant! Said relevance comes from the fact that THE A-TEAM is kicking down the doors of your local cineplex to fill your eyes full with its Liam Neeson goodness. There’s no better way to ring in this summer movie than to talk about its roots, because it started as a television series. So we’re here to honor those shows that made it to the big screen, and name drop some of our favorites!

Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man to be made into cartoon

When the reboot of the SPIDER-MAN film franchise was first announced, many fans were extremely worried that Sony would mess it up. But, there was also another type of fan who reacted positively to this news– one that was excited about Spidey’s return to high school because it sounded a lot like one of Marvel’s flagship comic series, Ultimate Spider-Man.

Ultimate Spider-Man is a modernized reboot that was launched in 2000 as a way to connect the character with a younger fan base. It was a big risk that ended up being a huge success for Marvel and has over 130 issues, a video game adaptation, and now a cartoon series.
