Author of THE LOST SYMBOL to rewrite the film adaptation

Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series is a major cultural phenomenon in the book world that has been translated into a film series that doesn’t really pack the same punch. Just something about his stories have led them to be some of the best-selling books of all time.

Although the first two films (THE DAVINCI CODE and ANGELS & DEMONS) weren’t really as great as fans of the series were hoping, it looks like the studio might be trying to get it right this time with THE LOST SYMBOL. Dan Brown's THE LOST SYMBOL has found its screenwriter

It makes sense that Columbia Pictures would want to make an adaptation of Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol” after the astronomical financial successes that THE DA VINCI CODE and ANGELS & DEMONS had. In fact, they got the film rights for the book months before it was even released. Now they are finally stepping up to the plate, as they’ve hired a screenwriter to handle the surefire hit.
