Adam McKay to direct THE BOYS?

A couple of months ago we reported that THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET director Samuel Bayer was interested in bringing Garth Ennis’ THE BOYS to the big screen. After that reports of the project faded away, and nothing was left but a memory. News is now surfacing that Sony might have a different director in mind, one you would never expect. Samuel Bayer wants to direct THE BOYS by Garth Ennis

Garth Ennis is a comic writer that has consistently showed his insane level of creativity. He has had very successful runs on such comics as “Hellblazer”, “Judge Dredd”, and “Punisher war journal”. Not to mention that he has been nominated for the Eisner Award (Comparable to the Best Director Oscar) five times, one of which turned into a win. Now it looks like one of his films might be adapted into a film by the director of the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake director Samuel Bayer.
