Director Walter Hill out of BULLET TO THE HEAD; Sylvester Stallone to re-cut the film himself

Good ol’ Sly Stallone has been back in a big way the past couple years. ROCKY BALBOA came out, then RAMBO, which he followed up with THE EXPENDABLES, turning him back into a staple of action cinema. His most recent film, BULLET TO THE HEAD, was set to be released this April but had been changed to a TBA release date.

Sly Stallone wants to bring Bruce Willis back as EXPENDABLES 2 villain

It’s no surprise that THE EXPENDABLES turned out to be a hit film- the cast gave that away from the very beginning. Because the first one ended up successful, a sequel isn’t surprising to any stretch of the imagination. Thanks to Stallone himself, we’re already are getting some insight as to what we might get in the sequel. Apparently it was planned all along.

Sly Stallone already thinking about EXPENDABLES sequel

Sly Stallone, you know how to turn films into franchises better than anyone else. That’s why it comes to no surprise that he has a sequel for THE EXPENDABLES already in his noggin. This one makes a lot of sense and is rather obvious, but even Stallone knows that it all depends on how the film performs.

RAMBO is done according to Sly Stallone

The most recent outing by John Rambo was a pretty surprising event and was only made possible by Stallone’s successful return to Rocky in ROCKY BALBOA. Although RAMBO did fare successful, it seems Sylvester Stallone doesn’t really feel the need to bring Rambo back once more.
