Steve Carell is one of the biggest stars out there these days, and there is a good chance his stock could go even higher. For the past seven seasons, Carell has held one of the lead roles of The Office as the bumbling boss, Michael Scott. It was announced that he would be leaving the show this season, and April 28th episode marked his departure. Now he should have more time for his already busy schedule.
With that being said, his upcoming film, co-starring Keira Knightley, SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, now has a U.S. distributor.
Focus Features has picked up the film, which is supposed to begin filming this month in Los Angeles. It follows Carell’s character as he goes on a nationwide trip to meet up with his girlfriend before the world comes to an end. Keira Knightley’s character will be joining him to throw wrenches into the mix. Carell and Knightley together seems like a really interesting fit in terms of chemistry.
