Stephen King throws in his two cents on the CARRIE remake

Just last week, we got word that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had been hired to script a remake of the classic horror film CARRIE, based off the book by the legendary Stephen King. The project follows a long line of horror remakes that studios have decided to rehash, and thanks to MGM and Screen Gems that is set to happen with CARRIE.

PET SEMETARY to get the remake treatment

WhenI was a kiddo, garage sales used to be the best place to get movies from. Aside from the fact that you could generally find gems for somewhere around fifty cents, they also didn’t have any qualms selling R-rated movies to children. This is where my love for PET SEMETARY began.

Now that the world has evolved into this remake-loving culture, it only makes sense that they would want to hit on Stephen King’s work. This project and the IT remake are definite proof there is interest. Continue reading “PET SEMETARY to get the remake treatment”

IT film gets a major update

When I was a wee little lad, the mini-series of IT used to scare the living clown shoes off of me. Back in those days of yore, it was hard to think of anything scarier. Luckily for me, a fear of clowns was not preserved (unless they have sharp teeth), and I’ve moved on to more frightening media. I am however afraid that the upcoming film version will bring the fear back, and according to the update out today, the project is still on it’s way.
