SUPERBAD writers to re-write NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen are turning into pretty much an unstoppable comedy writing force, one that has yet to have a mis-step. With such credits as SUPERBAD, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, and upcoming THE GREEN HORNET under their belts, it makes sense that they would be brought on to a revive a floundering comedy from the grave. That little film just so happens to be NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is a film that once had Ruben Fleischer attached to it, about group of men who comprise their Neighborhood Watch group who ultimately come across a plot to end the world. PINEAPPLE EXPRESS 2 is a "likely" thing?

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS was a really entertaining ride and it proved that Seth Rogen is a overly adequate comedic action star. Not only did the film catch on with my friends and I, it also went on to make $87 million at the box office, a hefty little gain considering it was budgeted at $27 million. According to Evan Goldberg, co-writer of the film, a sequel isn’t too far from possible.

Sarah Silverman to be Seth Rogen's sister in TAKE THIS WALTZ

Sarah Silverman is a stand-up comedian who stole my heart many years ago when I saw a little film called JESUS IS MAGIC. She knows how to bring some of the most disturbing humor to the mainstream audience, and it never seems all that offensive because she’s just so darn cute. It’s always nice when she pops up as a film cameo, but now she’s gonna take on a bigger role in Sarah Polley’s TAKE THIS WALTZ with Seth Rogen.
