Just last week, we got word that Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had been hired to script a remake of the classic horror film CARRIE, based off the book by the legendary Stephen King. The project follows a long line of horror remakes that studios have decided to rehash, and thanks to MGM and Screen Gems that is set to happen with CARRIE.

Holy pig’s blood! Despite the countless horror remakes, reimaginings, and reboots that we are given these days, studios are still looking for franchises to bring back to the big screen. Kate Beckinsale to return for fourth UNDERWORLD film

Do we really need a fourth UNDERWORLD film? That’s something that I keep wondering every time word gets stirring about the project. Whether we like it or not, Screen Gems seems to think we do.
