Bond’s next big adventure is quickly approaching, and before we know it, we’ll see exactly what Sam Mendes’ vision for the franchise is. It really is a big deal. Being that many were somewhat disappointed with the last film, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, this is the film that has to win those people back. It is their job to re-revitalize the franchise, after it got a breath of fresh air with CASINO ROYALE.

SKYFALL set photos show explosion filled goodness

The new 007 film, SKYFALL, is really under wraps. Even though production is underway, we still know very little about the film, other than who makes up the cast. Although info on the story is locked up tight, that isn’t stopping us from getting a fair share of set photos.

New 007 SKYFALL gets some interesting set photos

Production of the new James Bond movie got off to a very rocky start. Being conceived during MGM’s financial troubles, the company couldn’t even get the project off the ground, even though it was a guaranteed financial success. This problem led to many of us fearing that Sam Mendes would leave the project, but ultimately the film got back on track with Mendes at the helm.

Next Bond film gets release dates

The 23rd James Bond film has not had an easy time making it to the screen, after struggling to come to fruition due to MGM’s financial woes. The project is back on however, and luckily for us fans, the project did not lose Sam Mendes as the director. Other than Daniel Craig’s return as Bond and Mendes being set to direct, little is known about the upcoming film. We can now add release dates to the small list of things we do know about the next Bond.

The film, which is at this moment still untitled, will actually carry not one, but two, release dates. The UK and Ireland will get the film two weeks before we get it over in the States. Europe will see its release on October 26, 2012 and the U.S. and the rest of the world will have to wait until November 9, 2012. A Geek's Dream: Kevin Spacey almost faced Bond

When BOND 23 was first put on hold, an incredible force of rage and sadness overcame me. Not only did this mean that Sam Mendes might not direct the film when (and if) it came back, but it also meant I had to wait even longer for my next Bond fix. The wait was already long enough as it was.

Then we found out it was back on, Mendes was still on as director, and Javier Bardem was lined up to play the villain in the film. And while that’s all good news, now we are finding out what could have been if the film was not delayed. That “could have” was Kevin Spacey. MGM wants Bond back by 2012

It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had a Bond movie, a lot longer than a Bond fanatic like myself can really handle. Unfortunately, with MGM’s financial woes as of late, 007’s future has seemed not so bright. With the news that MGM has worked out THE HOBBIT, it seems they are doing everything they can to get franchise number 2 back on track.
