AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to have hints toward future villains

Marc Webb’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is just around the corner at this point, and anticipation is at an all-time high. When the film was first announced, everyone was a little peeved about there being a reboot of the franchise so soon after the original came out. The original film was released only ten years ago, and spawned two sequels. Once the first full trailer came out, everyone shut their mouths and got pumped.

As we can only assume, this new film will be the start of a new franchise if the film proves worthy of a sequel. On that note, we have word directly from Marc Webb that this first film hints at future villains in the series.

Is Casper, the world's friendliest ghost, returning to the big screen?

I remember seeing the CASPER movie in theaters as a kiddo and loving every second of it. My grandma had previously introduced me to the character, so it was only fitting that she was the one to take me to see it. That viewing was only topped by the many VHS viewings I had in the following years.

It seems that Casper might be making his big screen return, as Classic Media is taking a chance at rebooting the franchise. Continue reading “Is Casper, the world's friendliest ghost, returning to the big screen?”

Godzilla to fight other monsters in Legendary's franchise reboot

My love for the GODZILLA franchise goes back to when I was a very young child and I saw KING KONG VS. GODZILLA for the first time. After that, GODZILLA became my number one interest, and I had to have every toy and every movie I could get my hands on. That hasn’t changed to this day.

This is exactly why the prospect of Legendary taking over the reins and bringing him back for the first time since 2004’s awesomely epic GODZILLA FINAL WARS was very alluring. Today’s news proves they’re on the right track. Continue reading “Godzilla to fight other monsters in Legendary's franchise reboot”

ROBOCOP reboot has been disassembled

We’ve been anticipating Darren Aronofsky’s ROBOCOP reboot for quite some time now, but its off-and-on nature has been slightly unnerving. Although the reboot sounded pretty unnecessary, the idea of Aronofsky taking the director’s chair made the project incredibly intriguing. What would his take on it be like?

From the sounds of it, we’ll never know. Reports are now emerging that the project is officially and completely dead. Continue reading “ROBOCOP reboot has been disassembled”

Karl Urban to don the helmet in the new JUDGE DREDD?

We’ve known for a little bit that JUDGE DREDD was going to be hitting the big screen again in a much darker, grittier, and true to the comic film, as opposed to the infamous 1995 DREDD film. Although not much is known about the film other than it’s tone, we might have learned who will be donning the helmet and badge in the new film.

Check out the announcement, after the break.

UPDATE: “Logan Lerman is not in talks to play Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Both Columbia Pictures and the actor’s camp have denied that Lerman, who stars as the title character in “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” is the lead candidate for job.”
