My thoughts and stuff…
Pierre Morel is one of those directors whose films I can’t help but get excited for. I mean, the dude makes some of the most bad-ass films out there, like TAKEN. He gets really good performances out of his cast too, which is a really impressive feat when directing action movies.
Although we all still wish he were helming TAKEN 2, we can get excited for his next big film, BASTILLE DAY.

Luc Besson is probably one of my favorite filmmakers of all time. I will usually watch anything that he is involved with, because it is usually very good (TRANSPORTER 2 aside). He really won my attention with last year’s TAKEN, not to mention he brought my attention to the film’s director Pierre Morel. When their next project together, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE was announced, I automatically knew I’d like it. That was before I saw the very cheesy trailer that made me lose all hope in the film. A while back, we reported that the DUNE remake’s attached director Peter Berg would not be involved with the film. The big rumor was that Neill Blomkamp, director of the giant hit DISTRICT 9, would pick up the project. Now we know for sure who the director will be – Pierre Morel, who directed TAKEN.
