Whenever you try to think of an authority on 3D technology, it isn’t much of a jump to end up on James Cameron. Despite your feelings about AVATAR, it was a groundbreaking film with revolutionary 3D. The next logical step will certainly have to be 3D without the glasses, something Cameron believes will be obtained, but not till we wait a little bit. Years even.

Cameron feels that 3D without glasses is still about eight to ten years away from happening, a time frame that seems somewhat justifiable.
