Animated film WRECK-IT RALPH to feature video game cameos

Disney Animation has an upcoming film that is sure to get the attention of video gamers out there, called WRECK-IT RALPH. The film follows a character of a classic arcade game, as he tries to turn a new leaf and go from villain to hero. He get’s the opportunity after the arcade closes, when all the game characters begin to mingle.

3D without glasses a futuristic possibility?

Whenever you try to think of an authority on 3D technology, it isn’t much of a jump to end up on James Cameron. Despite your feelings about AVATAR, it was a groundbreaking film with revolutionary 3D. The next logical step will certainly have to be 3D without the glasses, something Cameron believes will be obtained, but not till we wait a little bit. Years even.

Cameron feels that 3D without glasses is still about eight to ten years away from happening, a time frame that seems somewhat justifiable. Look how long it took us to achieve the kind of 3D we have now accomplished. It took decades. The kind of 3D we’ve come to expect is nothing like the 3D that we remember from the eighties. Do Nintendo movies still attract Hollywood's eyes?

As most of you probably remember, 1993 was an astounding year for cinema. It was filled with so many memorable films such as JURASSIC PARK, MRS. DOUBTFIRE, SCHINDLER’S LIST, and… SUPER MARIO BROS?

Yes, there was once a MARIO movie, and no it wasn’t the greatest thing ever (my heart is still broken). But since the initial release and nearly universal dislike, it has gone on to achieve a cult status. But after an initial bad taste, would Hollywood still be interested in Nintendo?
