Eva Mendes will not ride with GHOST RIDER again

Nic Cage may be gearing up for the GHOST RIDER sequel being made by Neveldine and Taylor, which is surprisingly taking the minds of comic book fans by storm, but one actress from the original will not be returning. In a recent interview, Eva Mendes has confirmed that she will not be returning for the sequel. Continue reading “Eva Mendes will not ride with GHOST RIDER again”

Nicolas Cage is definitely in the GHOST RIDER sequel

Last month, we caught wind that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who are best known for directing the CRANK films, were most likely on board to direct the next GHOST RIDER flick. We also had a pretty good idea that Nicolas Cage would be reprising his role as Johnny Blaze in the film, and now we can definitely confirm that both bits of news are completely true. Empire's fold-out cover is KICK-ASS

I know, I should be tired of the endless onslaught of KICK-ASS posters, trailers, pictures, and other marketing promotions they have done. But the movie looks so incredibly kick-ass that every single thing that is released gets me doubly stoked. Now Empire wants their shot at the KICK-ASS hype train, and they deliver big (daddy) time.

Empire has released pictures of their upcoming March issue that will include a fold-out cover featuring some of the main heroes. The cover features Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, and Big Daddy on an extremely stylized cover. I usually wouldn’t pick up a magazine for this sort of thing, but it looks really awesome. This film is easily one of this year’s films that I am most excited to see.

Another new KICK-ASS trailer

I haven’t heard anybody speak ill of KICK-ASS, probably because it looks so good. Not only that, but it’s getting some serious buzz. As we reported the other day, KICK-ASS will be the SXSW festival opener. Now, they are trying to tease us even further, by putting out this new trailer.

Hit-Girl character poster is KICK-ASS

HIT GIRL CUT

KICK-ASS was recently shown at Harry Knowles’ (of Ain’t It Cool News fame) Butt-Numb-A-Thon 24 hour movie marathon in Austin, and was received very strongly by the crowd. I know first-hand that this movie is one of the biggest topics at comic shops right now. Needless to say, this film is getting some buzz. Although the movie had some trouble finding distributors, it is now on the fast track to being one of the best and biggest films of 2010.

Lionsgate has been flooding us with awesome KICK-ASS stuff lately to pump us up. First we got the teaser trailer, followed by awesome character posters of Kick-Ass, Red Mist, Big Daddy, and now Hit-Girl. I just have to say, all the characters look really great. I am so excited for this movie to come out.

SEASON OF THE WITCH gets a new poster

SEASON OF THE WITCH cut

Lionsgate is gearing up for the March 19 release of SEASON OF THE WITCH by putting out a new poster. So far, we’ve a seen a teaser and a trailer, just enough to pique interest in the horror film. The film was directed by Dominic Sena, who also directed GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS, SWORDFISH (so awesome!), and WHITEOUT which came out earlier this year. Unfortunately for Sena, WHITEOUT went through critical hell and was almost universally disliked. Maybe he can redeem himself with this one.
