Blu-ray Review: IT'S COMPLICATED

This past Christmas was a very odd time for movies. Around that time this little independent movie called AVATAR took the world by storm, you may have heard of it. Despite the fact that AVATAR reigned supreme, many of the other films released still did extremely well. This was certainly the case for IT’S COMPLICATED, which competed against AVATAR starting on Christmas Day. Despite opening at #4, the film went on to be a major financial success, and earned over $200 million theatrically. Pierce Brosnan claims MAMMIA MIA! 2 is off, is it true?

I know what some of you are thinking, “Why is he talking about MAMMA MIA!” Well, I actually really liked MAMMA MIA!, and even picked it up on Blu-ray. I wasn’t the only one that really dug it either, the film was the fifth highest grossing movie of 2008 and, until AVATAR, it was the highest grossing film in Britain. ARTHUR remake wants Meryl Streep?

I grew up watching the unforgettable classic ARTHUR. The star Dudley Moore was so great in the role. Being that the original film is so important to me, many would figure that I would not want a remake to happen. That is not the case for ARTHUR though, and I was very excited when a remake with Russell Brand was announced.
