Anthony Head joins PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE SEA OF MONSTERS

The first PERCY JACKSON film came out back in 2010, and despite being a financial success, a sequel was not a guaranteed deal. Then, after quite some time, we finally got word that a sequel was going to be produced. After some recent additions to the cast, like Nathan Fillion, the sequel is starting to look pretty appealing.

PERCY JACKSON sequel on its way?

PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF came out last year and was mildly successful, but it certainly didn’t make the kind of splash that a lot of people were expecting. Then came the lack of any news about a sequel, even though there are currently five books in the Young Adult series the first film was based on, and a seeming franchise to be made.

Now that news is finally coming out, and it looks like a sequel is happening after all.

Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski have been hired to pen a script for the sequel and are hard at work at it currently. Supposedly the main cast, including Logan Lerman as Percy, are all expected to return for the sequel. Interview: Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, and Jake Abel (PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF)

Last Monday I got to interview the main cast members of PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF about their upcoming movie. I was lucky enough to sit down with Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson), Brandon T. Jackson (Grover Underwood), Alexandra Daddario (Annabeth Chase), and Jake Abel (Luke Castallen). I have to say, this cast has wonderful chemistry with each other. You can see it in the movie, but you can really see it in real life. They were all wonderful and are extremely talented actors.
