Joe Carnahan's THE GREY almost locked

Joe Carnahan has been pretty hit or miss critically since he blast onto the scene with his 2002 feature NARC. Since then, he has directed SMOKIN’ ACES and THE A-TEAM. Both films were met with polarizing opinions, however Carnahan’s filmmaking is rarely the issue. With his next film, THE GREY, he’s looking for a major redemption.

Carnahan took to his Twitter to give us some updates on how the production of THE GREY is coming along. The film is heading towards it’s final edit, which would make it “locked” and he hopes to ease the fears of those who have opposed him. He claims, “Almost locked THE GREY. It’s a monster. Haters prepare. Your hopes will be dashed.”

The film follows a group of Alaskan pipeline workers whose plane goes down, leaving them hunted by a pack of wolves living in the snowy outdoors. Carnahan seems to have a real passion toward this one, that actually could in turn have positive effects on the film. This kind of film certainly doesn’t hit the big screen all that often. His sensibilities certainly make sense for this picture. Continue reading “Joe Carnahan's THE GREY almost locked”

A sequel to last year’s CLASH OF THE TITANS is on its way, but luckily we do have reasons to be excited. The cast and crew seem to be really excited about the film, as Liam Neeson as decided to come back for more and Sam Worthington felt he needed to assure us it’ll be better than the original.

Liam Neeson to reprise Zeus in WRATH OF THE TITANS

Though CLASH OF THE TITANS didn’t end up being a giant critical success, it did end up making a whole lot of money. Even so, when most of the cast decided to return for a sequel, it was kind of surprising. Now we have gotten the most surprising of them all, as Liam Neeson has decided to return for more.

Neeson will reprise his role of Zeus for the sequel. This is only surprising as he seems to be rather choosy about what films he does, with the exception of A-TEAM. He’s an actor who tries to perform at very high levels in everything he does, and goes for films that allow him to do that. That certainly wasn’t the first film, but could it be the second film? Continue reading “Liam Neeson to reprise Zeus in WRATH OF THE TITANS”

John Woo wants Liam Neeson for FLYING TIGERS

Liam Neeson is an actor who could convincingly pull off any role, and wow us while he is at it. The combo couldn’t be anything less than extraordinary. Continue reading “John Woo wants Liam Neeson for FLYING TIGERS”

Liam Neeson officially off Spielberg's Lincoln biopic

I’ve always imagined people putting their careers on hold for the opportunity to work with Steven Spielberg, and many actors do just that – for a while. Apparently, some of the biggest and best actors even lose that interest after a time, and Liam Neeson is proof of that.

After spending a very long time attached to star in Steven Spielberg’s biopic of Abraham Lincoln, he has officially pulled out of the project. Check out what Liam Neeson himself had to say about the role after the break!
