I wouldn’t put it as a rule of thumb, but I generally dig movies that Jerry Bruckheimer produces. They are usually fun, action-packed adventures that help you let loose and have a good time. Of course, everyone remembers the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN films that he made with Disney, and their most recent effort PRINCE OF PERSIA is looking pretty damn good. Is ON STRANGER TIDES in unfamiliar water?

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN series is a gold mine that both Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer aren’t ready to give up on. That would explain ON STRANGER TIDES, a fourth installment in the hit series that takes place after a very straight-forward closing point in the third film. After the success that the first one was, there was no doubt that sequels would come. ON STRANGER TIDES director Rob Marshall recently spoke about where the movie is in pre-production, and made many uncertain if the film will actually happen.
