JACK THE GIANT KILLER snags Ewan McGregor

The people behind JACK THE GIANT KILLER have been going cast-crazy lately, and are seemingly announcing the entire cast. First they announced that Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy were joining its cast, then they announced Nicholas Hoult (Beast in the upcoming X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) a  the lead role. Now we are hearing about another big name joining the cast, and this one is a Jedi.

Ewan McGregor will be taking up the role of the King’s Guard Leader who joins Jack in his giant-killing adventure. This seems like a really fitting role for McGregor to take up, as he’s played a great mentor before. With Bryan Singer directing, I have a feeling they will give him plenty of moments of bad-assery. JACK THE GIANT KILLER production delayed till February

Although I reported a couple months ago that Bryan Singer’s JACK THE GIANT KILLER would be shooting this summer, plans have unfortunately changed, and it looks like it won’t be happening until February of next year. Production for Bryan Singer's JACK THE GIANT KILLER to start in July

Most would agree that Bryan Singer’s tenure on the X-MEN franchise was a resounding hit, and conversely, his take on the SUPERMAN franchise is seen as a miss. This made it much more disheartening when he decided to only produce X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and direct JACK THE GIANT KILLER.
