James Franco has been taking his career in a pretty interesting direction lately, not quite Joaquin Phoenix interesting, but pretty damn interesting. Aside from having a stint on the soap opera General Hospital as what my mom described as “a creepy murderer dude,” and his indie documentary SATURDAY NIGHT (a behind the scenes look at SNL), but he hasn’t had any big roles in a while. Do Nintendo movies still attract Hollywood's eyes?
As most of you probably remember, 1993 was an astounding year for cinema. It was filled with so many memorable films such as JURASSIC PARK, MRS. DOUBTFIRE, SCHINDLER’S LIST, and… SUPER MARIO BROS?
Yes, there was once a MARIO movie, and no it wasn’t the greatest thing ever (my heart is still broken). But since the initial release and nearly universal dislike, it has gone on to achieve a cult status. But after an initial bad taste, would Hollywood still be interested in Nintendo?
