UPDATED: Emma Stone to join PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES?

UPDATE: Deadline now reports that Stone has passed on the role.

Emma Stone is one of the biggest young actresses out there these days, whose popularity is only rivaled by her great talent. She has the tendency to raise a film up, and make it better than it really has any right being. Now she will be playing Gwen Stacey in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, casting could not have been any more perfect. I mean, haven’t you seen the photos?

Things don’t seem to be slowing down for her either, as it seems like she could be taking up the lead role in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES.

The film has looked at quite a few actresses for the part already, such as Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway, but it seems they have found Stone to be more fitting. Fitting enough to where they have decided to officially offer her the role. If she accepts, then this film will further her zombie cred that she started gaining with 2009’s ZOMBIELAND. Emma Stone in the running for SPIDER-MAN?

Emma Stone has been stealing our hearts in almost everything she’s done since she exploded on the scene in SUPERBAD. Her career has been blossoming non-stop since then, and her most recent flick, EASY A, has proven to be a hit.

Chris Lowell in negotiations to join THE HELP

DreamWorks is currently prepping a film called THE HELP, about a young writer in the 1960s who decides to write a book about the treatment of African-American maids by everyone around them. The film will star Emma Stone, and is based off the novel by Kathryn Stockett. It seems now they are in negotiations with someone to fill the role of Stone’s boyfriend in the film. MARMADUKE teaser is full of angst

MARMADUKE

A teaser for the upcoming MARMADUKE live action film has hit the web, just to give us a taste of what the film will be like. The story takes place when Marmaduke (voiced by Owen Wilson) and his family move from Kansas to Orange County. The film is supposed to be a teen drama about dogs.

The trailer is an obvious Sspoof of the Fox TV series “The O.C.” which could turn many people away, but actually is what hooked me. I hope this doesn’t ruin my cred, but I love “The O.C.”. If MARMADUKE has captured a similar feel to the show, I think it could end up being a really great movie.
