"Tron: Uprising" gets a teaser trailer

TRON: LEGACY was released to mixed acclaim. Some people thought it was a great follow up to a series that they never expected to return, some felt that it was bland and uninteresting, while many found it quite middling. But, it did turn out to be a success for Disney, which is why they still had interest in producing a spin-off cartoon series called Tron: Uprising.

Uprising now has a teaser trailer, which gives us a look at the style of the show. Continue reading “"Tron: Uprising" gets a teaser trailer”

New AVENGERS clip shows Cobie Smulders and Sam Jackson face off

Just a couple days ago, we got an awesome clip of The Black Widow fighting back, and it was really awesome. It was great to see a look at one of the characters that isn’t quite as mainstream as Cap, Thor, Hulk, or Iron Man. Marvel is continuing that idea today, with a new clip that actress Cobie Smulder (How I Met Your Mother) debuted last night on The Late Show With David Letterman.

You can check out the clip after the break! Continue reading “New AVENGERS clip shows Cobie Smulders and Sam Jackson face off”

Does Disney have a Marvel animated movie in the works?

The Marvel/Disney deal brought up a whole lot of questions for fans. What would this mean for how Marvel operates? Would anything change, or would it be business as usual? But once word came that they weren’t looking to fix what wasn’t broken, fans started considering the positive possibilities.

One of which was the possibility of a Marvel animated movie. Although this isn’t official and should be filed in the rumor file, word says it might be happening. Continue reading “Does Disney have a Marvel animated movie in the works?”

Watch THE AVENGERS Black Widow bite in action packed clip

Now this is what I’m talking about.

Marvel’s THE AVENGERS is one month away, and excitement levels are at an all-time high. We’ve had the trailers, we’ve had the posters, we’ve had Loki (Tom Hiddleston) do so many interviews that I’m convinced he has clones of himself. But now, just to sweeten the deal even further, they’ve released a clip from the film that shows off The Black Widow.

You can check it out after the break.

Here's a load of new AVENGERS images

Avengers

It’s heading towards summer, which means that the cineplexes get filled with explosion-packed goodness, and all the big action blockbusters get released. Although we all have our favorites that we’re most excited about, there is no question that THE AVENGERS is the film I’m anticipating the most. This film is like a dream come true.

What I’ve been calling the AVENGERS media onslaught is in full-force, and we’ve been getting a ton of content directly from the Mouse-House. Today, we have got a ton of new images (a photopalooza if you will) showing off the look of the film.

THE AVENGERS to have 135 minute runtime

Avengers

THE AVENGERS is right around the corner, and excitement is at an all-time high. This is actually proven, as the film has already broken a record. This is going to be a big movie, definitely the biggest of Marvel’s movies, but will it be the longest?

We now have word from the director Joss Whedon himself that the runtime will be 135 minutes, making it officially the longest marvel film yet. Continue reading “THE AVENGERS to have 135 minute runtime”

Theatrical Review: JOHN CARTER

Although sometimes we might take it for granted, we are very lucky to live in the time that we do. Everyone carries computer-phones in their pockets that rival the technology found in science fiction novels, we are all connected together via a web of information that we call the Internet, and production value of cinema can be so impressive that we might question which parts of it are real or fake.

Enter Disney’s JOHN CARTER. The story is based off the character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, you guessed it, named John Carter. The film is directly inspired by Burroughs’ novel The Princess of Mars, and follows Carter, who is played by Taylor Kitsch. Carter is an American Civil War veteran who is mysteriously transported to the planet Mars. On Mars, his Earth muscles give him the impressive ability to jump extremely long distances in a single bound, which causes him to stand out to the local inhabitants. He ultimately finds himself in the middle of a war between two cities of seemingly-human beings, and one more traditional alien race. I know, it sounds like a delicious entree of sci-fi goodness, but does it deliver? Continue reading “Theatrical Review: JOHN CARTER”

Jason Segel definitely out of THE MUPPETS sequel

Both a star of the big screen and the small screen, Jason Segel has been a very busy man for the past several years. All his life he has been a big Muppet fan, and due to his puppet Dracula musical scene from the 2008 film FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL (which was also written by Segel), he got the opportunity to write The Muppets big return.

Last week, I wrote up on how Jason Segel wasn’t going to be involved with the writing process of THE MUPPETS sequel, but now we are getting word that he will not star in the film either.

Check out these photos of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill in THE AVENGERS

Although we’ve been getting a lot from THE AVENGERS lately, there have been a few things that they had avoided giving us much of. For the longest time, it was The Hulk, which left us all curious as to what shape this iteration would take. Another character they had left in the dark was Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother as Nick Fury’s right hand woman, Maria Hill. We got a decent glimpse of her in the most recent trailer.

Now they’ve released  a couple new pictures of her character, including the one above. You can check out the other picture below! Continue reading “Check out these photos of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill in THE AVENGERS”
