Image released for upcoming Nickelodeon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series

Nickelodeon is one of the few cartoon channels that I find still shows quality cartoons that adults can get into. Look at Avatar: The Last Airbender, a series that many people consider one of the best animated series of all time. Back in 2009 Nickelodeon acquired the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, exciting fans like myself to no end.

Just the other day, they released a new image and some info about the upcoming Avatar sequel Legend of Korra. Today, they released an image for their upcoming CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Check it out after the break! Continue reading “Image released for upcoming Nickelodeon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series”

Completely CGI version of The Thing in FANTASTIC FOUR: REBORN

The idea of THE FANTASTIC FOUR getting a reboot by Fox is not only really exciting, but extremely horrifying. There’s always a chance that the third time is the charm for Fox, but after the first two films, who can really be sure. Today, news is coming out that one of the first family, The Thing, will be entirely CG.

Is this a good sign for the film, or yet another misstep by Fox? Continue reading “Completely CGI version of The Thing in FANTASTIC FOUR: REBORN”

Andy Serkis joins RISE OF THE APES

Andy Serkis is a pretty interesting actor, as he is most well known for playing some of the most iconic CGI characters of the past decade. Although my favorite performance of his might be as KING KONG, most are more familiar with his performance as Gollum in LORD OF THE RINGS. He may not have looked like himself on screen, but he provided the movements and the voice. Now he’s looking to do another CGI role, but as a much smaller monkey in RISE OF THE APES. THE SMURFS take Manhattan (UPDATED WITH THE TEASER TRAILER!)

Editor’s Note: UPDATED WITH THE TEASER TRAILER!

I know, most everyone is played out on the live action/CGI hybrid movie at this point because they usually aren’t as great as they should be. THE SMURFS, on the other hand, has always been on the better side of my thoughts, due to its wonderful casting choices and my love for the original cartoon.

We’ve gotten a look at Hank Azaria as Gargamel, but now we’re finally getting a peek at our three-apple-tall heroes. Check out the full image after the break! Continue reading “THE SMURFS take Manhattan (UPDATED WITH THE TEASER TRAILER!)”

Tim Gunn joins the already eclectic SMURFS cast

In some posts we are very tempted to work in someone’s catchphrase, we usually indulge into this because we think it will be fun. This was my first thought when reading the news that Project Runway co-host Tim Gunn was joining the cast of THE SMURFS. For the sake of credibility, I will avoid making any references to Gunn’s many catchphrases.

You can check out what role he’ll play after the break! Continue reading “Tim Gunn joins the already eclectic SMURFS cast”
