HANGOVER PART III gets a release date

Yeah, I know. The second HANGOVER movie was a huge disappointment to just about everyone, myself included. They recycled the storyline from the first film and didn’t do much to make it stand out over the original. But, being that both films collectively have grossed over a billion dollars (seriously), of course a third film was inevitable.

The second sequel is now more real than ever, and has an official release date. Continue reading “HANGOVER PART III gets a release date”

Bradley Cooper to play THE FLASH?

Almost everyone has been on the “Ryan Reynolds should play The Flash” bandwagon, it seems, but with his commitment to THE GREEN LANTERN and possible commitment to DEADPOOL, it’s very unlikely he will take up the role of yet another superhero.

So who else would be up for the role of our favorite speedster? Well, Bradley Cooper would, of course. Continue reading “Bradley Cooper to play THE FLASH?”

HANGOVER 2 is Thailand bound once again?

hangover

We all know that the HANGOVER 2 is fast approaching, yet we know absolutely nothing about the plot. About six months ago we got word that the second film very possibly could take place overseas, in the exotic realm of Thailand. Although director Todd Phillips later shot this down, word is that he might have been trying to misdirect us, as sources are saying Thailand is back in. Anna Friel cast in DARK FIELDS

We’ve been following DARK FIELDS pretty closely, largely due to some very interesting casting choices. The first casting choice was Bradley Cooper, who is taking a break from his typical comedy fare (or action, if you count A-TEAM) for this dark drama. Then we learned that Robert (Frickin’) De Niro would be the next cast addition, playing the villain of Cooper.

Finally, we have the next step of the equation, Anna Friel, who previously stole our minds and hearts on Pushing Daisies. Continue reading “Anna Friel cast in DARK FIELDS”

Cast of THE HANGOVER officially signs on for sequel

THE HANGOVER 2 has been a sure thing for a very long time now, but technically the cast wasn’t. When the first film was made, there was no expectation that it would reach the ridiculous success it ultimately did, so franchise deals for the main cast weren’t established. Of course, no one doubted they would come back for the second film, and now it is a sure thing as the cast have officially signed deals. Joe Carnahan wants Bradley Cooper for THE GREY

Joe Carnahan has recently been in the public eye, since he is at the helm of the upcoming A-TEAM film. Mixed reactions came from the trailer, but most agree that the casting is absolutely perfect. Well, it looks like Carnahan enjoyed working with the cast and might want to work with A-TEAM star Bradley Cooper again. Continue reading “Joe Carnahan wants Bradley Cooper for THE GREY”

THE HANGOVER 2 to be set in Thailand?

THE HANGOVER

THE HANGOVER was the big sleeper hit of the summer, and rightfully so. It had a hilarious cast, outrageous plot, and enough cursing to make you re-evaluate your own vocabulary. A sequel was announced a while back, and is leaving people anxious as to what the plot might be. Word is getting out that the boys might be heading overseas.

Sources are telling the guys over at CHUD that the sequel will take place in Thailand. Since the film still has a while to go before it is released the plot could change, but for now this is their plan.  Additionally, they were told that Thailand was the original idea for OLD SCHOOL DOS, the canceled sequel to the 2003 film OLD SCHOOL.

I’m not all that positive how I feel about this movie yet. The first one was so good, but they played out the basic idea of a hangover, and I’d like to see something different. Hopefully they don’t just throw the boys into the same situation under different pretenses. THE HANGOVER 2 is set to come out Memorial Day weekend 2011.
