After talking about it endlessly, and praying to the gods of Asgard for the CAPTAIN AMERICA movie to come out, it has finally hit the big screen. Marvel hires a writer to pen BLACK PANTHER

We’ve known for a while that Marvel was seizing the opportunity that Disney gave them, with a big interest in bringing many of their lesser-known heroes to the forefront of their universe. Yet, very few of those heroes have been brought to the big screen. Now it looks like they are very serious about turning Black Panther, one of the heroes a bit more well-known to the comic community yet mostly unknown to the general public, into one of those properties.

Marvel has officially brought on Mark Bailey to pen the adaptation of the comic; Bailey is most well-known for his work in documentaries such as PANDEMIC: FACING AIDS. It is a little peculiar that Marvel chose someone who hasn’t really proven themselves as a screenwriter for a film like BLACK PANTHER. Continue reading “Marvel hires a writer to pen BLACK PANTHER”

That scene was the start of something much bigger for Sam Jackson and his version of Nick Fury, including no less than a nine picture deal with Marvel to reprise Nick Fury in future movies. CAPTAIN AMERICA to begin filming in June

CAPTAIN AMERICA

Aside from Hawkeye and Spider-Man, Captain America is one of my favorite Marvel heroes. You can’t even imagine my excitement when FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA was announced. I immediately had a rush of images and ideas about what the film would be like.

Then they admitted that the film would take place during World War II before Cap is frozen, and then The Avengers would find him in the AVENGERS film.  Continue reading “CAPTAIN AMERICA to begin filming in June”
