January Jones takes over for Alice Eve in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is shaping up to be a pretty interesting superhero flick, with some very interesting casting choices. One of those previously-announced casting choices (that was already absolutely sublime) has actually gotten even better.

Alice Eve has now been replaced by January Jones for the role of Emma Frost. Cold has never been so hot. Continue reading “January Jones takes over for Alice Eve in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS”

Alice Eve is in talks to play Emma Frost in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS?

It seems like every-time we report on the casting for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, it becomes an even more highly anticipated film for me (James McAvoy as Professor X). This is coming from a comic fan that for some reason has never really gotten into the X-Men, aside from the first two films. Now with the news that Alice Eve will most likely be joining the cast as Emma Frost, I’m more excited about this film than ever. Alice Eve top choice for CAPTAIN AMERICA female lead

Now that Cap has been cast, the role of Peggy Carter in FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA is getting all the attention. The other day, the big news was that Emily Blunt was offered the role but declined. Although Blunt doesn’t want it, there are plenty of young actresses out there that do. Two of them are currently screen-testing for a second time, which means we’ll probably have our leading lady soon enough. Continue reading “Alice Eve top choice for CAPTAIN AMERICA female lead”

Theatrical Review: SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE

Rating: 7/10

Writers: Sean Anders, John Morris
Director: Jim Field Smith
Cast: Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve, Krysten Ritter, T.J. Miller

Judd Apatow came along out of thin air with a little comedy called THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, and ended up redefining the R-rated comedy. He set a precedent for the genre, and inspired a chain of copy cats. Then, along comes a little film called SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE which treads similar waters. But did this film end up being another one of those carbon copies?

Interview: Actresses Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter (SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE)

Before SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, I was completely unfamiliar with Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter. Although both have been working, I just hadn’t encountered them previously. It seems though that this film is a good launching point for both, and they have a lot of stuff coming out in the near future. Both of them were so incredibly nice, genuine, and truly proud of the final product of the film. It was a pleasure getting to talk to them about the film.

You can read the roundtable interview we did after the jump, where we talk about what they feel the message of the film is, what was too mature for the film, their favorite scenes from the film, if the film was always rated R, and what they have coming up next. Not to mention Alice Eve talks about her character in the upcoming SEX AND THE CITY sequel. Continue reading “Interview: Actresses Alice Eve and Krysten Ritter (SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE)”

SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE gets a red band trailer

Jay Baruchel is a really underrated actor in my opinion, and I’m glad he is finally starting to land some leading roles in movies. Some of his upcoming projects look really great – like HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON and THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE, and then there’s SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE.

A while back we gave you the green band trailer for this upcoming rom-com romp, and now Dreamworks has given us a red band to feast our dirty minds on. Unfortunately, this is the most tame red band I’ve ever seen. The only funny scene in the trailer was the shaving bit. I will see this movie though, mainly because I like who they cast as his friends.

Check out the trailer after the jump! Continue reading “SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE gets a red band trailer”
