In other news; ANCHORMAN 2 gets some new details

It was kind of a huge bombshell when ANCHORMAN 2 was surprisingly announced a month ago. So far, details have been fairly scant, other than that the film could contain a custody battle as a part of the plot. This leads us to believe that Christina Applegate will return for the film, although she is the one puzzle-piece yet to be addressed.

Now, thanks to director and co-writer Adam McKay, we have a few more details about the upcoming sequel.

Adam McKay will do THE BOYS after all

We’ve gotten quite the run-around from Adam McKay about his potential adaptation of THE BOYS. One second he wants it, and the next second he has potential casting, but is unsure if it’ll happen. ANCHORMAN 2 is totally dead; could STEP BROTHERS 2 happen?

The fate of ANCHORMAN 2 has been pretty crazy for the past several months, with off and on rumors running amok. That is, until Paramount took their stance with a resounding no. Although the cast and crew still seemed to have high hopes, it even seems that Adam McKay has lost all hope and interest in the project. But that might not stop them from bringing another of their popular films into sequel-land.

Adam McKay to direct THE BOYS?

A couple of months ago we reported that THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET director Samuel Bayer was interested in bringing Garth Ennis’ THE BOYS to the big screen. After that reports of the project faded away, and nothing was left but a memory. News is now surfacing that Sony might have a different director in mind, one you would never expect.
