Steve Carell's SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD picked up by Focus Features

Steve Carell is one of the biggest stars out there these days, and there is a good chance his stock could go even higher. For the past seven seasons, Carell has held one of the lead roles of The Office as the bumbling boss, Michael Scott. It was announced that he would be leaving the show this season, and April 28th episode marked his departure. Now he should have more time for his already busy schedule.

With that being said, his upcoming film, co-starring Keira Knightley, SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, now has a U.S. distributor.

Focus Features has picked up the film, which is supposed to begin filming this month in Los Angeles. It follows Carell’s character as he goes on a nationwide trip to meet up with his girlfriend before the world comes to an end. Keira Knightley’s character will be joining him to throw wrenches into the mix. Carell and Knightley together seems like a really interesting fit in terms of chemistry. Lizzy Caplan says a PARTY DOWN movie could happen

What happens when you put a really hilarious show, with an incredibly entertaining cast on a premium cable network that isn’t all that well-known? Well, that show ends up getting prematurely cancelled. Such was the case for Starz’ Party Down, a show about a Los Angeles catering team with quite interesting backgrounds.

However, according to one of the show’s stars, Lizzy Caplan, a movie could be coming down the pipeline.

During an interview with The Playlist, Caplan talked a little bit about the show and its possible movie spin-off. Although the news is positive, she doesn’t want to get our hopes up too high:

“I have a lot of faith, all of us have a lot of faith. I do not think it’s a ‘don’t hold your breath’ situation but until there’s something more concrete happening, maybe hold your breath a little bit. It’s not for lack of interest on the parts of the cast and the creators of the show. If there’s any way we can do it, then we will do it, and we are definitely on top of that idea.” Continue reading “Lizzy Caplan says a PARTY DOWN movie could happen”

Script for third BILL & TED movie finished, according to Alex Winter

The BILL & TED movies were a big part of my teenage years, and they practically lived in my DVD player. The rock star milieu, the slacker mentality, and of course George Carlin made those films an instant classic amongst my group of friends.

Talk of a third film has been out and about for a very long time now, with the word only getting much louder as of late. But now it is louder than ever, as according to Bill himself, the script is completed. Continue reading “Script for third BILL & TED movie finished, according to Alex Winter”

Although Ghostface from SCREAM 4 won’t be up for any oscars, he did inspire us to talk about some of our favorite villains.

2003’s THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake was one of the films that jumpstarted the modern trend of horror remakes. It ended up being an insanely scary movie, and even led to a 2006 prequel.
