The cast of HALL PASS is really rounding out with all these announcements that have been made in the past couple weeks. First it was announced that Amanda Bynes would be appearing in the film, then we found out that Stephen Merchant and J.B. Smoove were joining the cast. Today it was announced that Nicky Whelan and Derek Waters would also be joining the cast. Continue reading “HALL PASS gets another pair of actors”

George Lopez voiced SPEEDY GONZALES movie is up and running. ¡Andale!
It seems that the “Looney Tunes” are coming back in a big bad way. A couple months ago, I reported that a MARVIN THE MARTIAN movie was being produced. I figured that we wouldn’t hear about any more Looney Tune movies ’til after MARVIN, but now we are hearing about a George Lopez voiced SPEEDY GONZALES film coming out. Lopez and his wife Anna, who are producers on the film, both claim that the film will not be racist, and instead will be more uplifting.
You can check out what Anna had to say about the project, after the jump! Continue reading “George Lopez voiced SPEEDY GONZALES movie is up and running. ¡Andale!”
Four new images for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
Yesterday I wrote a post about the new poster for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET that I feel gave a little look into the attitude of the film. They didn’t want to stop there though – here’s four new images from the upcoming horror remake. For anyone who found the poster to be somewhat uninspired, maybe these photos will change your mind.
You can check out the four pictures in all their bloody glory after the jump! Continue reading “Four new images for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET”
Jason Segel is a BAD TEACHER
Jason Segel has been around for a while in various TV shows and indie films, but it wasn’t until his small part in KNOCKED UP and starring role in FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL that he became a marketable name. Since those films, he has starred in I LOVE YOU MAN and his role CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” (if you aren’t watching, you should be) has become more recognized and on par to Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney.
Now we get to see him exercise his acting chops as the gym teacher in BAD TEACHER. Continue reading “Jason Segel is a BAD TEACHER”
Kevin James joins Ron Howard film; Vince Vaughn already attached
Kevin James is an actor whose films I don’t actively seek out because usually they are the definition of mediocre. To be fair, I have enjoyed him in movies where he isn’t the leading man. I really enjoyed him in HITCH, where he played a supporting role as one of Will Smith’s clients who couldn’t get a girlfriend. Maybe he can change my opinion, as he is joining Vince Vaughn in Ron Howard’s latest film. Continue reading “Kevin James joins Ron Howard film; Vince Vaughn already attached”
New poster for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
When the remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET was first announced, I didn’t know a single person that was excited about it. The biggest question was if Robert Englund would reprise the role of Freddy Krueger, which he played for two decades. People believed he was the only person that could ever play Freddy, until Jackie Earle Haley was announced as Freddy. It was amazing how quick people got on the side of the film after that.
The film is almost here whether you like it or not, and they’ve provided us another peek at Freddy with a new poster. You can check it out after the jump! Continue reading “New poster for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET”
First Superman comic book sells for $1 million
It’s relatively common for rare and iconic comic book issues to sell for a lot of money, as collectors are usually willing to pay big bank for a high quality issue. Even so, selling a comic for a million dollars is still shocking and astounding, shattering all previous records of expensive comic sales. Continue reading “First Superman comic book sells for $1 million”
Two more actors are getting a HALL PASS
We told you last week that Amanda Bynes had joined the cast of HALL PASS, the story of some men who are given tickets by their wives, that can be cashed in for extramarital affairs. The film will be directed by the Farrelly Bros. and is their first film since 2007’s THE HEARTBREAK KID. The cast is really filling out and just added two more actors to their already impressive line-up. Continue reading “Two more actors are getting a HALL PASS”
Ed Helms no longer waiting 'til DADDY'S HOME?
A couple weeks ago I reported that Ed Helms was going to star in DADDY’S HOME opposite Will Ferrell. The film is about a husband trying to cope with his new wife’s ex-husband hanging around to spend time with his kids. But it seems that he might not be able to be in this movie because of scheduling conflicts. Continue reading “Ed Helms no longer waiting 'til DADDY'S HOME?”
Larry Clark's WILD CHILD is now SAVAGE INNOCENT, cast announced
A while back Ronnita reported on Larry Clark’s upcoming film, WILD CHILD, about a teenager who runs away from his abusive family. This project seemed right up Clark’s alley, as he usually makes his films about teenagers acting inappropriately or going through some sort of issue. We haven’t heard anything about this film in about six months, so many assumed it was dead – until now. Continue reading “Larry Clark's WILD CHILD is now SAVAGE INNOCENT, cast announced”
