Maggie Grace visits space in Luc Besson film, LOCKOUT

It’s no secret that Luc Besson is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time in my a-little-jealous-of-his-talent eyes, and I would watch just about anything that he is involved with. He constantly picks up new projects to work on, and he also co-writes just about every Statham movie in existence.

Now he plans on sending the gorgeous Maggie Grace into space in his newest brainchild, LOCKOUT. Continue reading “Maggie Grace visits space in Luc Besson film, LOCKOUT”

David O. Russell no longer UNCHARTED

A while back, it was announced that director David O. Russell was going to be adapting one of my favorite video game series, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, into a feature film. Although the game is already incredibly cinematic, many fans agree that an UNCHARTED film would be a great supplement.

Now the film’s fate is a little more rocky, as Russell has left the project. Continue reading “David O. Russell no longer UNCHARTED”

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT film update time – script is half-done

Arrested Development cast

I’m not sure if there has ever been a film project nearly as frustrating for fans as that of the ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT film. The worst (and best) part about it is that every positivebit still elicits excitement, just as every negativeve bit is still really saddening.

However, this newest update on the film is one of the happy ones, as the script is apparently half-done. The word comes from series creator Mitch Hurwitz himself. Check out what he had to say after the break! Continue reading “ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT film update time – script is half-done”

Robert Rodriguez directing DEADPOOL is pretty likely?

Just over a month ago, it was rumored that Robert Rodriguez was offered the director’s chair for Marvel’s upcoming DEADPOOL film. Very little real information was known before, other than that he had been given the script for review. Now the word is that the talks have gotten very serious, and the final deal is being worked out.

DEADPOOL would most likely be Robert Rodriguez’s next film after his big third sequel in the SPY KIDS franchise. This would also work out well for Ryan Reynolds’ schedule, as he would be wrapping up all of his upcoming projects (including press for GREEN LANTERN). With a schedule this perfect, chances seem to be good. Continue reading “Robert Rodriguez directing DEADPOOL is pretty likely?”

Completely CGI version of The Thing in FANTASTIC FOUR: REBORN

The idea of THE FANTASTIC FOUR getting a reboot by Fox is not only really exciting, but extremely horrifying. There’s always a chance that the third time is the charm for Fox, but after the first two films, who can really be sure. Today, news is coming out that one of the first family, The Thing, will be entirely CG.

Is this a good sign for the film, or yet another misstep by Fox? Continue reading “Completely CGI version of The Thing in FANTASTIC FOUR: REBORN”

Liam Neeson officially off Spielberg's Lincoln biopic

I’ve always imagined people putting their careers on hold for the opportunity to work with Steven Spielberg, and many actors do just that – for a while. Apparently, some of the biggest and best actors even lose that interest after a time, and Liam Neeson is proof of that.

After spending a very long time attached to star in Steven Spielberg’s biopic of Abraham Lincoln, he has officially pulled out of the project. Check out what Liam Neeson himself had to say about the role after the break!

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS 2 is a "likely" thing?

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS was a really entertaining ride and it proved that Seth Rogen is a overly adequate comedic action star. Not only did the film catch on with my friends and I, it also went on to make $87 million at the box office, a hefty little gain considering it was budgeted at $27 million. According to Evan Goldberg, co-writer of the film, a sequel isn’t too far from possible.

Check out what Goldberg had to say after the jump! Continue reading “PINEAPPLE EXPRESS 2 is a "likely" thing?”

Sasha Grey grabs a role in I MELT WITH YOU

Having a role in a Steven Soderbergh movie can really do wonders for your career, and perfect proof of this is Sasha Grey. Grey started off her career as an adult film star (award-winning, as a matter of fact), but then showed up in Soderbergh’s indie, THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE. Since then, it hasn’t been too hard for her to find work in the more mainstream film market, and she may next be showing up in I MELT WITH YOU. ROBOCOP reboot has been disassembled

We’ve been anticipating Darren Aronofsky’s ROBOCOP reboot for quite some time now, but its off-and-on nature has been slightly unnerving. Although the reboot sounded pretty unnecessary, the idea of Aronofsky taking the director’s chair made the project incredibly intriguing. What would his take on it be like?

From the sounds of it, we’ll never know. Reports are now emerging that the project is officially and completely dead. Continue reading “ROBOCOP reboot has been disassembled”
