Pick Mary Jane already; Dianna Agron now being considered for SPIDER-MAN reboot

It seems like we are having a new name being thrown into the “Who will end up playing Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN reboot pot” every single day. Interestingly enough, they are finally getting into actresses that seem to be a lot more interesting for the role.

The other day, they finally added the obvious choice, Emma Stone, into the running. Now they’ve got another actress going at it that fits the bill really well. Continue reading “Pick Mary Jane already; Dianna Agron now being considered for SPIDER-MAN reboot”

Josh Holloway joins next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE

Josh Holloway Marvel

Despite what most people think of the franchise, I’m certainly a fan of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE series, especially after the third film. With all the additions that are being made to the cast and the new direction the series looks to be going in, the prospect of another sequel seems even more exciting.

Now Lost fans have a reason to join in on the rejoicing! Continue reading “Josh Holloway joins next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE”

Rachel Bilson joins BFF AND BABY

Since the cancellation of The O.C. and the subsequent end to her portrayal of the unforgettable Summer Roberts, Rachel Bilson has done a lot of supporting roles in television, but hasn’t done much in the film world. 2008’s JUMPER was her last foray into film, but it has left her hungry for more. Now she’s got her chance.

Bilson is set to play a part in BFF AND BABY, a film co-written by Krysten Ritter, who recently appeared in SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE and will be starring in Amy Heckerling’s next film VAMPS. The film is the story of a woman who gets pregnant (Ritter), and what happens when she and her best friend try their hardest not to let their lives change. Gore Verbinski considering directing THE LONE RANGER

Ever since THE LONE RANGER remake was announced, starring Johnny Depp as Tonto instead of The Lone Ranger, I’ve had a hard time finding myself excited about the film. There’s nothing really wrong with the project, but there also have not been any other ideas thrown out there that I found exciting.

That changes with this latest piece of news concerning who might be in the director’s chair. Continue reading “Gore Verbinski considering directing THE LONE RANGER”

Oliver Stone is notorious force in the film industry. He consistently brings quality films to the table, and receives critical acclaim almost universally. Now he’s coming back for his first true sequel – WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS – which brings Gordon Gekko back from prison to rekindle his relationship with his daughter, and possibly make some dough while he’s at it.

If you’re ready to live your life in excess, check out the episode after the break. Continue reading “GATW Podcast Ep. 26: I Wrote Scarface”

Mark Ruffalo to do mo-cap for The Hulk

Although news of Mark Ruffalo playing The Hulk in the upcoming superhero team-up THE AVENGERS was at first a little disheartening, he is quickly earning our hearts and trust with the role. Every news bit that comes out about the film makes it seem as though they’re on the right track, and this news certainly follows that trend.

The Hulk might be a little more Ruffalo than you expected, as he will be doing motion capture for the character. Continue reading “Mark Ruffalo to do mo-cap for The Hulk”

Kate Beckinsale to return for fourth UNDERWORLD film

Do we really need a fourth UNDERWORLD film? That’s something that I keep wondering every time word gets stirring about the project. Whether we like it or not, Screen Gems seems to think we do.

Even more interestingly, Kate Beckinsale agrees with them and will return for the fourth film. Continue reading “Kate Beckinsale to return for fourth UNDERWORLD film”

Emma Stone in the running for SPIDER-MAN?

Emma Stone has been stealing our hearts in almost everything she’s done since she exploded on the scene in SUPERBAD. Her career has been blossoming non-stop since then, and her most recent flick, EASY A, has proven to be a hit.

This has supposedly gotten Sony interested in her playing Mary Jane for the SPIDER-MAN reboot. If you ask me, this is perfect casting. Continue reading “Emma Stone in the running for SPIDER-MAN?”

A third BILL AND TED film actually happening

I know that we hear about another BILL AND TED movie about as often as we hear about a third GHOSTBUSTERS film, but from everything we’ve heard lately a third BILL AND TED is legitimately in the works.

We now have a quote from Bill himself, Alex Winter, talking about the current state of the film, which you can check out after the break. Continue reading “A third BILL AND TED film actually happening”

Carla Gugino joins MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS

We just recently found out that Carla Gugino would be starring in the not so kid friendly film MILF (MOTHERS I’D LIKE TO FIGHT), and now it looks like she is wanting to balance that out with a family film. I know most of us would watch her in anything, so we’re glad to see her spread her wings. Continue reading “Carla Gugino joins MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS”
