Albert Brooks might join KNOCKED UP spin-off

Albert Brooks is the man. His filmography is long and full of greatness and variety, and he’s had one hell of a career up to this point – one that is still thriving. He is one of the comedic gods that has been entertaining us for more than four decades now.

Now he looks to be bringing that greatness to Judd Apatow’s next film, which is a spin-off to his second feature KNOCKED UP. Brooks is very close to being cast in the film, in the role of Paul Rudd’s father. It’s a role that sounds absolutely perfect for Brooks, and there would be a whole lot he can do with the role. Not to mention the promise of Brooks and Rudd playing off each other. Both are so funny, I can’t imagine how funny it will be to have them quipping together. Continue reading “Albert Brooks might join KNOCKED UP spin-off”

Jeff Tremaine set to direct REVENGE OF THE JOCKS

The JACKASS franchise is at its biggest, after being around for over ten years now. The third JACKASS film just released on DVD and Blu-ray, after having a $170 million run. The guys behind the film seem to be ready for a break. So what’s next for them?

The man who is usually behind the scenes, director Jeff Tremaine, has now got a non-JACKASS related gig lined up. Tremaine is set to direct a film called REVENGE OF THE JOCKS, the story of three men who were once jocks trying to adjust to the post-jock life in a geek controlled world. The geeks are set to be the bad guys, making the jocks’ lives more difficult. This will be the first narrative feature for Tremaine. Sometimes we get an idea for an episode that seems so perfect and clever, sending us on an endless flurry of excitement. Unfortunately, you can only pick so many movies with “love” in the title. We pulled it off, hilarity ensued.

Jason Bateman updates on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie

Arrested Development cast

The ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie is an allusive beast. It always seems like it’s coming and we get updates on it constantly but have yet to see it come to fruition. This could mean several things. First, it might not be coming out the way that Mitch Hurwitz was hoping it would. Second, it could be coming out so incredibly well and he wants to make sure it is perfect.

This most recent update, from Jason Bateman, suggests toward the second scenario. You can check what he had to say after the break. Continue reading “Jason Bateman updates on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie”
