“How I Met Your Mother” is one of my favorite shows on TV right now, largely in part to Neil Patrick Harris’ character Barney Stinson. There is just something about NPH, even when he is playing a scumbag he is somehow likable. He has been showing off his musical talent a lot lately, and now it looks like he will bring them to an episode of “wait for it…” – “Glee.” Continue reading “Neil Patrick Harris to feel "Glee" with Joss Whedon”

Clark Gregg will S.H.I.E.L.D. up for THOR
One of the best things about the first IRON MAN movie were the references to the Marvel universe. It would even catch me off guard at times because I’m used to the movies being so disconnected. So whenever Clark Gregg’s character Agent Coulson said he was with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, I didn’t realize he was with S.H.I.E.L.D.. Their main purpose is to deal with superhuman threats. Continue reading “Clark Gregg will S.H.I.E.L.D. up for THOR”
David Arquette claims Wes Craven will direct SCREAM 4
SCREAM 4 hasn’t been much of a secret, it seems that some sort of rumor is spouted off by the cast and crew all the time. We have found out over time that much of the original cast will return to their roles, the big question was if original director Wes Craven would be in. According to David Arquette, he will be in the director’s chair again. Continue reading “David Arquette claims Wes Craven will direct SCREAM 4”
Blu-ray Review: WHITEOUT
Blu-ray Rating: 3/10
If you want to read an actual review of the film, you can read James’ review here. This review will only cover the Blu-ray and its special features.
I don’t know what it is about snow that makes it look so pretty in HD, but it does. Because of this WHITEOUT is gorgeous, and is the perfect setting for a Blu-ray. But unfortunately that is just about the only exciting thing about this disc. Oh, there is a digital copy, that is kind of cool, I guess. There are a couple special features and they aren’t bad at all, I actually somewhat enjoyed them, but there are so few features that it is immensely disappointing. Blu-ray Review: SMOKIN' ACES 2: ASSASSINS BALL
Film Rating: 5/10
Bluray Rating: 8/10
Director: P.J. Pesce
Writers: Olatunde Osunsanmi, Olumide Odebunmi, Tom Abrams, P.J. Pesce, Joe Carnahan (story & characters)
Cast: Tom Berenger, Tommy Flanagan, Autumn Reeser, Vinnie Jones
Studio: Universal
SMOKIN’ ACES was one of the weirdest, coolest movies to come out in the past couple of years. I honestly never expected a prequel (or sequel), but now we have another crazy assassin-fueled story. But does this prequel film hold up to the original, or are they making a double dip? Continue reading “Blu-ray Review: SMOKIN' ACES 2: ASSASSINS BALL”
Blu-ray Review: SMOKIN' ACES
Bluray Rating: 8/10
Since this is an older film and most people probably already have their opinions on it, I will not be reviewing the actual film itself and instead review the Blu-ray set as a whole.
I went crazy for SMOKIN’ ACES when it first came out. I thought it was fun, insanely clever, and really bad-ass. The avant-garde visual style that they used was incredible and put Joe Carnahan on my directors to watch list. I liked it so much, in fact, that I bought the HD-DVD version (R.I.P.) when it came out. At the time of the initial home video release, Universal was backing HD-DVD exclusively, so it wasn’t until now that we get a Blu-ray version. Continue reading “Blu-ray Review: SMOKIN' ACES”
Joe Gatt tells us about more about THOR
THOR is probably the only Marvel movie I have ever questioned at all. Luckily, my fears have been washed away, now all I have is excitement. However, other fans are probably still wondering what they will do costume-wise, which sadly can be make or break for a superhero movie.
Luckily for us, one of the actors in the film, Joe Gatt, let us know a little bit about his character, along with what we can expect from the sets and the costumes of the characters. Continue reading “Joe Gatt tells us about more about THOR”
