Etan Cohen has become somewhat of a hotshot in Hollywood in the past couple of years. After writing IDIOCRACY and TROPIC THUNDER, he has made a name for himself in the comedy genre. Now it looks as though he is moving through the natural progression, and will direct a feature film. Continue reading “Director found for Will Ferrell and Ed Helms movie DADDY'S HOME”

The Invaders will breach FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA
Here we go with some more FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA information. It seems like every single day we are getting some new tidbit of info about the film. This time it’s plot related instead of casting, which is most of the info we’ve been getting lately, directly from the mouth of the film’s director Joe Johnston. Blu-ray Review: THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE
Blu-ray rating: 6/10
This review will only be over the disc and its features, not the actual film itself. If you would like to see a review of the film, you can check out Kate’s HERE.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve endlessly dreamt of having the ability to travel through time. Naturally, I imagined the ability as something I would have complete control over, as most children would. I never once wondered what it might be like if it was out of my control. How could one live their life happily, and really develop relationships? THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE tells us the tale of a man who tries to live as normal a life as he possibly could with such an ailment. Continue reading “Blu-ray Review: THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE”
The people behind SAW and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY bring us INSIDIOUS
I’ll be the first to say that the SAW series has been pretty awful after the second incarnation. The first was pretty amazing though, and really brought something to the table. This summer’s PARANORMAL ACTIVITY made a very similar splash onto the genre, and will help evolve the genre too. So what would happen if the two teams united? Continue reading “The people behind SAW and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY bring us INSIDIOUS”
TERMINATOR rights might go to Sony
Last month I reported that Lionsgate had put in the highest bid for the rights to the TERMINATOR franchise. At the time, it seemed like it would end up being a sure thing and Lionsgate would be the new owner of the franchise. Sony made an unexpected move though, and put in a last minute bid. Theatrical Review: FROM PARIS WITH LOVE
Rating: 8/10
Writers: Adi Hasak (screenplay), Luc Besson (story)
Director: Pierre Morel
Cast: John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak
Studio: Lionsgate
Luc Besson is probably one of my favorite filmmakers of all time. I will usually watch anything that he is involved with, because it is usually very good (TRANSPORTER 2 aside). He really won my attention with last year’s TAKEN, not to mention he brought my attention to the film’s director Pierre Morel. When their next project together, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE was announced, I automatically knew I’d like it. That was before I saw the very cheesy trailer that made me lose all hope in the film. UPDATE: Logan Lerman WILL NOT be SPIDER-MAN
UPDATE: “Logan Lerman is not in talks to play Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Both Columbia Pictures and the actor’s camp have denied that Lerman, who stars as the title character in “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” is the lead candidate for job.”
From THR
– Chase
At this point, everyone knows about the big SPIDER-MAN reboot that will star a high school aged Peter Parker. At first, nobody was sure what to think of a SPIDER-MAN reboot, but that was before Marc Webb was hired to direct the film. Now many people are much more excited about the possibilities of the project. Now all that’s left is casting the Web-Head, and apparently the studio has talked to young Logan Lerman about the part.
Check out what he had to say after the jump! Continue reading “UPDATE: Logan Lerman WILL NOT be SPIDER-MAN”
CAPTAIN AMERICA will soon be cast
FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA is one of the most exciting film projects that I’ve ever heard of. I’m so excited to see what the film’s director, Joe Johnston, does with the film version of one of my favorite superheroes. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard a single bit of casting aside from rumors. But in a recent interview, Joe Johnston gave us a little insight about when they might have their Captain America chosen.
Check out what he said, after the jump! Continue reading “CAPTAIN AMERICA will soon be cast”
Dan Brown's THE LOST SYMBOL has found its screenwriter
It makes sense that Columbia Pictures would want to make an adaptation of Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol” after the astronomical financial successes that THE DA VINCI CODE and ANGELS & DEMONS had. In fact, they got the film rights for the book months before it was even released. Now they are finally stepping up to the plate, as they’ve hired a screenwriter to handle the surefire hit. Continue reading “Dan Brown's THE LOST SYMBOL has found its screenwriter”
Daryl Hannah drops hints about a possible KILL BILL III
It’s no secret that Quentin Tarantino has a major interest in revisiting the KILL BILL universe. Rumors have sent KILL BILL fans into such a craze of excitement that TWILIGHT fans would probably call them losers. It makes sense, though, because the first two films were fantastic, and I can only imagine the third would hold up. Daryl Hannah isn’t helping the case, as she is making some pretty big claims. Continue reading “Daryl Hannah drops hints about a possible KILL BILL III”
